Don't hold your breath

What that article (and others) are talking about is what comes after silicon process technology. At its present rate of growth silicon should run into some fundamental physical limits after 2015 or so and we will likely see computing move to a new "substrate" technology after that.

Read Ray Kurzweil's "The Age of Spiritual Machines" if you'd like a sense for the sort of possibilities for 21st century computation that lie ahead of us.
