<residents lulled back to sleep> DON'T WAKE THEM UP! Let'em panic later after WE get all our emergency goodies together! If they were not still zombies, don't you realize, rarebird, that the banks would be on summer holiday from runs already? That grocery shopping would already be like shopping in Sarajevo markets? That the index would already be down to about 4,000? That there would be daily lines for asswipe? That docile shopping for vital goods would have turned into obstacle courses, often settled by da meanest gun? That neighbors would already be peering into your windows to check out your supplies? That you would be paying quadruple prices for the last remaining storage foods, with shipments promised sometime in 2002? That airlines would be selling off their airplanes for scrap, not having any reservations after Dec 26? Cops would be giving many tickets for SLOW driving, due to how heavy and sluggish the cars are with so many boxes of ammo being taken home! Firefighters and cops, and of course, the politicos would be grabbing up all the availabe homes in the rural areas! They would already be typing out their sick leave notices in advance! The national guard of every state would be resigning by the regiment! Half our troops overseas would be awol by now, and Herr Klinton would have already called up more divisions just to go find the awol ones! Cheeky Kid would have already bought out all the comic books in every store within peddling distance! The list is endless! Let them sleep for a few months more!
