Johannes, don't be a weenie. The Democrats controlled both houses of Congress most of the last 60 years, and at least one house for the rest of the time. Finally, the Republicans get the Congress, and not only do they have a Democratic President (with veto power to consider, when they lack the numbers to override) but they have the problem of pulling together factions within their own caucus, some of whom are moderates, not conservatives, who may bolt if their views are not given consideration. Courageously, given the poll numbers, they impeach Bubba, but they do not have the numbers to convict. Instead of giving them credit, and contributing to the building of a larger majority,and the election of a Republican President, you say "what good are they", hold back, and continue to let the Democrats run the country.... |
