"Say you have a couple of grandchildren and you have an A class share. You can elect to exchange for 30 B shares at no cost. Then you can give B shares to the kids. This should be worth something."

And if you own 30 Bs you don't even have to go to the trouble of converting an A. That should be worth something :)

"Also, A share holders have voting rights, B holders don't. This is worth something too."

B shareholders have voting rights, just not as much. Buffett and family control 50% so this is a useless benefit anyway.
