thanks for getting back to us! first let me ask after your mom... i sure hope she is doing better.

next let me tell you that it was exciting to read along with what amounted to a play-by-play description of your process. it is neat for all of us to journey through all the phases starting with your questions and then the answers and suggestions provided on this thread , right on through to you sitting down and deciding to go for it. it was like being there with you, hp. <g3>

then of all things, along comes a power failure! amazing.

i'm real, real glad things worked as well as they did. you went about the whole thing in a very intelligent manner, imo. and when a person lays that kind of groundwork, it's easy to "get lucky". <g3>

your b-i-l is fortunate to have you there for him. was he at your side learning along with you?

now i have you here to hold my hand when the day comes that i have to reformat my hd and reinstall an OS!

take good care of your mom, hp. tell her we were asking after.
