TI is selling a portable digital music player reference design to OEMs that Johnson (Gary) claimed meets SDMI specifications. Only the companion CD-ROM software for the design will be delayed, Johnson said. TI will wait until the SDMI chooses the screening technology in August and will probably ship the software sometime in September or later, he said.
