Paul, re. their address...
A did a little research after reading your post, and there's a variety of confusing things for me regarding TerraNet.
1) The address you wanted was not terranet.com, it is earthsearch.com
2) The address General-Imaging.com is what ESSI's home page says the site will be known as.
3) Perhaps "known as" but presently no one has bothered to point that domain name to the URL mentioned in item 1. The time lag in doing so leaves me questioning any serious effort thus far to promote the venture. I'm thinking that surely the domain name would have been given to prospects. If they were dealing with many, this issue would have been resolved, in my opinion.
4) Here's some real confusion for me. The address you used, and one that others are likely to use, was terranet.com. I believe Terranet.com belongs to a company in Boston, MA called TerraNet, Inc. I do not know if this company is engaged in interstate commerce, but if it is and if it is not the same company as ESSI's TerraNet, Inc... well, you fill in the blanks.
5) The address you used, www.terranet.com, and also www.terra.net, resolve to the same IP address, as indicated by the following:
Non-authoritative answer: Name: www.terra.net Address: 161.58.7.129 Aliases: www.terranet.com
The reason you ended up at Verio when you entered the terranet address, is that for some reason they've chosen to redirect the pages there, as indicated in their default page by the following:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0; URL=http://www.verio.com/index.shtml">
I guess that's a moot point if this TerraNet is not ESSI's TerraNet....
Oh man. Who's on first? No, What's on first. I Don't Know's on third.
