<< I wonder how much fraud is going on out there now that our banks will have to absorb.>> You don't get it, banks (like all companies) never "absorb" any cost increases due to fraud, theft, or increased taxes, all costs of operation are passed on to the consumer directly via increased cost or indirectly through higher cost of insurance - the FDIC will be supported by taxpayers in the worst of times. Increased taxes are considered by many to be the greatest single driver of inflation.
