Imagine what was going through his mind..........

All of the commercial flights have left. No time for a car or boat. No train available. I have to get there. I have to continue this flight. I can't miss this wedding.

Also, how much machismo was involved here? He was in the company of two very beautiful women who had there hearts set on being in Martha's Vineyard that night. Two beautiful women who didn't have the slightest clue that John was probably scared to take this flight and also even more scared to let that fact show.

I would venture to say that until the final seconds, John was the only one who was scared or had enough knowledge to be scared.

Beleive it or not, making the decision not to fly is even tougher than making the decision to fly.
