Steve, I agree with your formula 100% but to be honest we still have a little waiting to do for the technology (java) to catch up to our technology. Embedded java is just now beginning to take shape, and java's footprint needs to be reduced further from all that I have been reading. Nevertheless it appears as though Sun has conceeded to Patriot the low end of the embedded java market if and when it matures. They have abandoned their picoJava I core in favor of their picoJava II, a much more sophisticated design several times the price of their original. In low end deeply embedded applications, price/performance wins every time. For that reason I believe Patriot will eventually be a BIG winner. Our biggest concern should be whether or not the java language will be applied to embedded systems. If it is double digits will be seen IMHO. Cheers. Bob
