Most of these MMs have taken financial stakes in these ECNs. They use these ECNs to misguide and trick traders. They all know Level 2 is common so they have to play things differently. So everything is almost opposite. If GSCO is sitting on the BID side, they might be using ISLD on the other side selling away to others while people think Goldman is buying the stock. some crazy stuff... BTW- great thread. Keep up the fine job. Don.
