Frank: Thanks for your input. By your assessment, the cost of conventional filter on a PCS tower will be in the range of $3000-5,000 dollars (including the low-noise cable). The incremental cost of the superconducting filter is therefore about $35,000. Revising my previous estimate for a 100 tower system (without superconducting filters), the cost of superconducting filters for 60 towers will be about $2.1 million, in comparison to about $8 million in benefits (40 towers at $200,000 each) or at the low end 4 million dollars (40 towers at $100,000 each). Still, their is more benefit than cost.
