Opinions on Exit Strategies

Anyone here have any opinions on exit strategies when the time comes?

Is there a certain price earnings ratio when some will start to exit?
A certain sentiment level?
Will some dollar cost average out of the market?
Which hedges do you prefer?

Any other thoughts welcome.
