Paul - RE: "Also true is the fact that the 600 MHz Coppemine introduction in November WILL BE MET !"

Good for Intel, but will 600MHz be enough?

If AMD is touting 650MHz in Q3 and 700MHz in Q4, AMD will be two speed grades ahead of Intel. I don't think Intel wants that to happen, but who cares about what Intel doesn't want to happen if they can't get their own products out on time?

I have no idea about how fast Intel can raise the MHz, but based on Intel's previous schedule of 600 first and 650 and 667 afterwards, I will be impressed if Intel can come out with the 650 and 667 in their normal quantities at the same time as the 600. But is it even possible for Intel to have the ability to do that when the .18 600 was DELAYED two months to begin with?

I am also curious as to how they will position the Cu PIII at the same time as the .25 PIII.

Should be interesting.
