John - thanks for embarrassing me more - I deserved it for being, well, wrong and smug. What I should have said is, I was thanking Pat G. for posting info that I can use to help decide whether to take my TDFX profits (I was in the money on STBI (flat panel tech, not the boards, attracted me) when TDFX made its offer) or stay around. I'm in the money on DIMD (their networking & Rio, not their boards, attracted me) and now SIII wants to trade me their stock for my DIMD. I've been trying to understand the players in this industry in order to decide whether to run or to stay around at least until more shares go long term, but it's hard since I don't play games or know the game software (GLIDE, etc.) except through what users report. The popular press mentioned Matrox positively, but I never saw enough to make me even check quotes (which weren't there), let alone Edgar for financials that obviously weren't there. Hence, I was thanking Pat for letting me know I'd made the right decision by not pursuing it seriously. I'm just feeling a little uncomfortable getting increasingly stock swapped into a line of commerce I don't know too well.

Incidentally, Atari's arcade game "Road to the Rock" (I think it's called) at our local theater gives a full screen credit to 3DFX at the start of the game.

Regards,
Harry
