Paul, re AMD inventories: The EETimes article you quoted had this lame thought in it... Even more ominously, AMD has some two million of its K6 chips left on the shelves, and may be forced into a fire sale to push them into the channel.

Actually, these CPU's are valued at less than $10 each. The inventory number in the financial statements went up only by 20.5 million dollars, but there are two to three million additional CPU's in that inventory number.

To the extent AMD sells these chips for more than $7 to $10, the excess will be pure profit.
