In economics, there is a model called 'the stadium problem'; it's a lot harder to get out if you wait until the crowd wants to leave at the same time.

"Stadium Problem"-is this scenario known under another name and can you site empirical references and authors that speak to this problem.

Just interested in reading the various analyses on this topic.
