No, I really did put cream in everything. My grandmother taught me how to cook because my mom worked. Grandmother was German and cooked with a tad more fat than we might presently think appropriate. Her food tasted great but was, I suspect, lethal. I finally learned how to cook leaner and as my husband is now on a restricted diet, because he is hyperlippidemic, grandma's recipes don't get too much use.
