IBM's mini drive is cool because it's got 5 to 10 times the capacity of flash in it's first product cycle. The medium will grow to much higher capacity, average is 60% areal density increased annually.

They said they'd probably have the 350 meg drive down to $99 as soon as they got production to max efficiency.

Even though is rotates, this drive has a pretty high g-shock rating. High enough that most other devices will also break before it hurts the hard drive.

Also, it's really small. Able to fit into a slot as an add on device for most PDA's. It'll also work in video cameras as well ad still cameras.

I thought this was an interesting device. A full Win 98 computer that is almost a PDA by it's nature.
