There are a couple of good references to competition from Genzyme's Seprafilm back in May and April. From what i can tell, Seprafilm has some disadvantages because it is in "film" form and has to be wrapped around organs in abdominal surgery. A gel product like Adcon-P wouldn't need to do this. However, what keeps Genzyme from coming out with SepraGel? Are they planning to do this? What impact would it have on Gliatech? Are there other advantages of the ADCON product besides its gel form that would make it more successful in abdominal or pelvis surgeries compared to either the current SepraFilm or the possible arrival of a SepraGel?
