Which riposte I loved by the way. And don't think you're off on a Seaborne Cruise without me. Rethink that fantasy, pal. My father was from England-my maiden name is Chappell-but I'm sure the Whyte was from my mother's side. They were really German. Thrifty, clean, like Boy Scouts. In college I had a suitemate my freshman year whose name was Astrid Hildegarde W------(I probably shouldn't say, should I?) VERY German.. When I went home with her one weekend, she came into the bathroom while I was showering to tell me to turn the water off while I soaped, that her father got very irritated if anyone wasted water. I was terrified the whole weekend-try to wash your wastelength hair in a trickle of warm water.
