Scumbria - <How much are the emulators selling for these days?>

Would you not agree that Merced is starting to come together? Samples in a couple of months. A slew of third party and infrastructure support announcements from industry heavy hitters. IBM buying Sequent was a real biggie, IMHO.

Despite your continual poking at Merced, it is coming together quite nicely, and I have little doubt that IA64 will be another major example of intel capitalizing on a major industry initiative. Merced may "do nothing for you", but it will certainly do "something for us", since this seems to be an "us and them" issue with you.

I agree with Paul. you do seem nervous about this. In light of all the drama surrounding the IA32 desktop space, does this make you nervous because there is very little in the way of a viable response to this? Sort of like a freight train picking up speed and trying to stop its progress by parking your SUV on the tracks in front of it?
