Les, I believe the current guess on sea turtle longetivity is about 80 years. Their scales show growth rings which are counted.. but I'd like to think they could exist forever. I can't remember which ancient culture pictured the earth being transported through the cosmos on the back of a giant turtle, but the image is appealing.
