o It's portable (you can really reuse stuff)
  o It's productive (you can write less code and get more done)
  o It leads to solid applications (they just don't crash, even during 
    development, and you can upgrade them on the fly during debugging)
  o It means you don't have to constantly retrain for each new target
    (abstraction of the platform).

  o It makes programming fun again (and this matters to Engineers)
