Based on the behaviour of RAMP, it seems that the new sure-money play is to short right before the end of the quiet period. Everyone who had bought hoping to cash in on the runup leading to it will begin dumping shares. Of course, as soon as people start doing this there will no longer be a runup, due to all the short-selling. Then, after the quiet period ends, there'll be no drop either -- people will still be selling, but short-sellers will start buying back. It'll be a net wash -- as it should always be in an efficient market.
