Please reread my post. The issue is that if CHINA was to use force on TAIWAN it would cost lives. If CHINA was to allow TAIWAN have its independence, all that CHINA would lose is there pride and economic potential, they would not lose lives. My point was, whats more important - LIVES or PRIDE/ECONOMICS?

Im not saying not matter how the CHINESE feel, but when it comes to life or death, versus pride/money - the issue of life should be of most importance. Unfortunately, that is commonly not the case in many of the global matters, regardless who is involved.
