I seem to remember a *component shortage* of gasoline about 25-26 years ago. I think the component was called Saudi Arabian crude oil. I think somebody made a TON of money on this shortage. I think the Saudi's and their American OEMs (Exxon, Mobil, Chevron, etc.) ended up making so much money that the U.S. Govt instituted a "Windfall Profits" tax.

Bring on the shortage. That only means that demand is far outstripping supply. Last time I checked, prices only go one way under such circumstances...up. Q will still get CDMA royalties from licensees. The market will figure this out in the a.m., CNBC notwithstanding.
