Sorry, but when you make a specific allegation of improper behavior on my account, I consider the response "I haven't time to go dredging up old posts to go looking for others" to be rather weak.

If the conversation you were referring to was not something like a month old, I might agree with you. If you want to revive this old argument, why not bring some new ingredient to the table.

I suppose I could be called an apologist - though I think "advocate" would be a better term - for a policy of constructive engagement with China (as opposed to a policy of hysterically truculent engagement). This is not the same by any means as being an apologist for the current regime in China, which I think I remember being called somewhere back in those days. It struck me as quite an extension.

If you want to start a new discussion, why not begin by telling us how you think relations with China should be conducted?
