Last night I looked at this for csco, wcom, dell and msft...
...guess what? They are all above historical averages (5year).
Then I looked at a couple of small caps and they were also
above their averages.

to sum up. multiples in general have went up. msft can't be
singled out in any meaningful way on this.

ANYONE who has taken msft's guidance serious over the years has
played the part of the fool. Anyone betting on this is is betting
against a major trend. Some day this bet will inevitably
pay off..., but now? With office2000 just ramping up and win2k on
deck?

I say nay...,

ps. considering msft's current pe of 78 and the fact it just turned
in 62% yr2yr earnings growth that's not so overvalued. The question
is do you believe your own eyes or the words of a guy that wants
very much to avoid law suits? (ie: Maffei)
