That's true but consider it just one opinion.

I bought K-Mart on a Value Line recommendation for the dividends
because VL said that KM's safety was the highest and that the
dividends were safe with this "high quality" stock.

Needless to say, KM cut and then eliminated the dividends.

KM was 22 when VL recommended it.

It fell to 5 shortly thereafter.

But that's why it's so important to diversify as much as you can:
no matter how highly-regarded any corporation seems to be, we never
know what's going on in the boardrooms and just how much the company
is telling us.

Except Wal-Mart, of course, since that's my "bank account!"

(Knock on wood that my opinion of WMT isn't "Famous Last Words.")
