Paul, The sure way to make RAMBUS a winner, however, is to move the RAMBUS DRDRAM Controller on to the CPU itself - to reduce latencies You can knock a couple of clocks off the latency by moving the memory controller onboard, but the fundamental latency of DRAM is still very long. I sure hope Willamette was delayed for this reason ! How do you propose to build an MP capable processor with an onboard memory controller? Scumbria
