Part of the reason RWAV gets little respect may be the degree to which people do not understand the special niche RWAV serves. I just tried to help a friend recruit a programmer for a major company. The job was to head the setting up of an Oracle database. It required knowledge of Java and C++, the special sector RWAV's libraries serve. I only got involved because my friend, a professional headhunter, had exhausted his resources trying to find someone for this world-class job. Two months later, the job is still open. What do I deduce from this experience? Companies are going to buy RWAV products because they are not going to jeopardize losing the programmers they have who can do this kind of work by denying these elite anything that makes their work more productive. RWAV simply has to keep turning out good product.
