Why is there still talk of a selloff? Buy the rumor, sell the fact? What rumor? There was no indication from anywhere(except Ramsey, and that doesn't count) that these "facts" would surface during this conference call. Total surprise. Think about what was said again. Use that $.86 number as a base. What else was said? Royalties go up $10 million or more +/- license fees. More handsets will be sold, and with higher margins. ASIC sales increase, margins flat. Higher base earnings number+higher royalties+more handsets sold at higher margins+more ASIC sales=higher earnings. This info was spoonfed to us. Why is that so hard to understand??? It is not at all difficult to plug in a few numbers and get $1 per share at the very minimum. Analysts are frequently sluggish to react, but QCOM just spelled it out for them in plain english. Thus, where does a selloff come from?
