William, Hi!!! RE: It's tough to stay bullishly/enthused when a stock is stagnant for six months I really believe more of us should remember some of the past words of Michael Dell...the dates are not something that I wish to zero in on...but, I will attempt to use a chronological order for clarity here... First......When asked about his concerns of CPQ going direct: " WE FIND THIS AMUZING"... Second.....At the end of the fourth qt... "WE WILL TAKE PAIN TO CAUSE MUCH PAIN" Third...When CPQ fired their managment.... "HUGE OPPORTUNITY AT CPQ's EXPENSE FOR A LONG TIME" William....Strategy is something tooo few of us discus on this wonderful thread...the concerns always seem to boil down to the immediate money....I'd like to think that DELL's "boring" management team has a few brains...I have envisioned DELL allowing CPQ to get into deep water far from shore with their attempt at selling direct...all the while alienating their retailers...DELL then finding them far far far enough from return... cuts their legs off on all the direct deals that they can...actually sacrificing some pennies ....Knowing that the crippling and elimination of CPQ during the third... fourth and future quarters (where the explosive Enterprise gains are) would be a boooom for DELL...William I have posted this before but I can't remember who said it...it was last year at the shareholders though..."One of our goals for the coming year is a further consolidation of the PC industry...." Whether or not I have this totally correct is something I surmise we will never know...what I do know is it makes good sense to me...what even makes better sense is trusting this management team....This is why I just stay patient ...the money will come...the long term money requires long term planning....the new shareholders who bought high should find this patience...DELL is the safest long term growth stock anywhere... I'm Just cheatin off the smart guys....it's that simple! :o) Best, kemble
