SwanSong: Thanx Darrell&Neocon for following down my fixation. I have resolved it and can hopefully find a less troubling pastime. I had to do it because reasoned discourse is being replaced by myths shared only among believers, and non-believers are seen as different than human. This will finish a democratic society and a republican government. I don't know why you bothered, so just in case, I will leave these 4 separate summations. They are not meant as shutdowns, just observations that have room for differences and more than foregone conclusions.

-The mainstream media means to obscure and downplay real division in our country. 'Peace in our time' is good ratings. One way it does so is to highlight the trivial divisions. Another is to not give enough details for any hard conclusion to be formed. Thus we are forced into the untrustworthy and dangerous black-grey waters of myth&news, where the gullible will be waylaid.

- The information from the alternative news extends the mainstream info about the President. What emerges is his consistent patterns of behaviors and others consistent responses. A pattern also emerges over his lifetime that is consistent to recognized medical expectations. These patterns show a man not wildly out of control, but a man who has drawn a line of behavior he grimly will not cross. The behaviors have been repeatedly tested to be within the law and within accepted [not approved] expectations for an American male. These behaviors were not trivial hedonism, but had an important purpose to keep him from his history of going out of control. The full media picture is only well explained by his being innocent before the court. Having committed no crime but embarrassing crudity, few citizens, first or last, would accept continued legal punishment. He only did what most of us would do to set things straight. Whether the letter and purpose of the law was as incorrect as the justice is best left to legal experts. With specific personal solutions applied to horrific problems for himself and others, and with meaningful respect toward the law and society, his sexual activities lend no support to intimations of a man with no morals but self-seeking power. His actions can be seen as ordinary, given the extraordinary circumstances.

- Sometimes the Army gets what is best by not doing what they want - where would a rapist be stationed? I can see Mi Lai II then; Okinawa II now.

-Could the Clinton Law have been crafted by a man who knew what men could do, but sought to separate out those who kept their limits from those who did not?
