There is an article this AM in a Swiss financial newspaper (in the "international news in brief" section) regarding polluted rivers in Bolivia : "The gold diggers pollute rivers with mercury. The exploitation of gold is at the origin of a significant pollution with mercury of the rivers in Bolivia, where fishes present by places rates of contamination four times superior to the thresholds admitted by WHO, according to a study carried out by French researchers."
