"China Goes Wireless" - July 26 Forbes magazine.

Interesting points:

- the cell phone business is one of the few areas where western companies are participating fully

- the market is exploding ... there's an unquenchable thirst for wireless communications

- 1 million new subscribers per month, should have 50M by the end of next year (the US has 75M now)

- it takes months to get a wireline connection, businessmen in particular can't wait

- talk time of a nickel a minute is one of the cheapest in the world

- China's Ministry of Industry projects that by 2010, there will be 200M cell phone subscribers - even at this, this represents a penetration rate of only 15%!
