Whats up with after hours trading on the express server? I have an after hours button on my server today.

In order to begin trading in the After Hours session, you
must first enable your account for After Hours. To enable
your account, please read the following disclaimer, enter
your password, and click on "Enable After Hours" in the
box at the bottom.

By enabling your account, you acknowledge that you
understand and accept the unique risks of investing in
the After Hours session.

Datek Online After Hours - Disclaimer

Datek Online and the Island ECN offer the individual
investor access to an After Hours trading session from
4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time.

About After Hours:

Only NASDAQ stocks are eligible for After Hours
Trading.
Only limit orders will be accepted for After Hours
investing. This protects you from any "surprise
executions" that might occur with market orders
or stop orders.
Your limit order will be represented on the Island
ECN.
You may select either DAY + AFTER HOURS or
GTC + AFTER HOURS when placing your order.
See below for a full explanation of how After
Hours investing operates.
You can obtain a current quote on your stock
(from Streamer or the Quotes and Trades Page)
AND view the Island Limit Order Book before
placing your order.
You will find the "Island Book Viewer" under
RESOURCES in the Investment Center.

Unique Risks of After Hours Investing:

Stock prices may be more volatile.
News stories can have a greater impact on the
price movement of a stock.
The same liquidity may not exist on the Island
ECN during After Hours as it does during normal
market hours.
Less liquidity usually results in wider spreads
between bids and offers. This raises the effective
cost to trade in such markets.

Orders Placed Before or During Market Hours - 9:30
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time:

DAY: Eligible for regular session only, 9:30
a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
DAY + AFTER HOURS: Eligible for regular
session, and remains open on the Island ECN
until 5:15 p.m.
GTC: Eligible for regular sessions only.
Unless executed or cancelled, expires after
30 days.
GTC + AFTER HOURS: Eligible for regular
sessions, and remains open each night on
the Island ECN until 5:15 p.m. Unless
executed or cancelled, expires after 30 days.

Orders Placed Between 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Eastern Time:

DAY: Will be entered for the next business
day's regular session, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
DAY + AFTER HOURS: Will remain open
that day on the Island ECN until 5:15 p.m. If it
is not executed, or you do not cancel it, then
it will expire at 5:15 p.m. It will not be
re-entered the following business day.
GTC: Will be entered for the next business
day, and will be eligible for regular sessions
only. Unless executed or cancelled, expires
after 30 days.
GTC + AFTER HOURS: Will remain open that
day on the Island ECN until 5:15 p.m. If it is
not executed, or you do not cancel it, then it
is re-entered each business day as a GTC +
AFTER HOURS order. It will remain eligible
for each day's regular session, and the After
Hours session on the Island ECN until it is
executed or you cancel it. Expires after 30
days.

Any order placed after 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time will
be entered for the following business day.

Currently the After Hours session runs from 4:00
p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time. The hours of
operation may increase in the future, and may
include times before 9:30 a.m. and/or extend past
5:15 p.m. Eastern Time.
