You know you asked about hate crimes. But on reflecting on my thoughts and feelings I came upon a thought that I might have to get through first. When I was in high school I do believe they taught us the Fedearl Gov't was there to resolve disputes the States could not. Ideally, the Federal Gov't would not be large, would not infringe onthe States rule and would enforce the Constitution as it stands.

So, why do we have the Federal gov't everywhere?! I don't know, but i think it is a good part of the problem. All the vocal minority groups be it anti-gun, special interest or whatever, go to the Federal level to resolve local problems and we end up with all this BS laws. I don't think that is the way things were supposed to work.

I do believe, the President and his apointees should be concerned with international items affecting the USA and the States were supposed to handle 95% of the domestic issues. I guess that is what has changed.

What is your opinion of this interpretation?
