While I would very much like to offer you my honest opinion(s), I am concerned that these opinions would be deemed politically incorrect and I would very quickly be removed from this message board.

Suffice to say that I am in agreement with you in that the federal government should begin to exercise a modicum of discretion when addressing domestic issues. Having said that, I will admit that the current administration seems to have learned a lesson or two (via the hard way) in that their interference(s) in domestic issues carry the risk of negative consequences (i.e., Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City, etc.).

Your concerns with regard to international issues are well-founded. I believe that our government is surreptitiously preparing itself for a series of terrorist attacks of which the American populace will be largely unprepared for.

Do you feel that it should be the U.S. Government's job to protect its citizens from such possible contingencies? I am speaking specifically of such scenarios as chemical and biological attacks.
