I find it really doubtful that you're better informed than I am on the economic or technology issues. (I am the Y2K director of a multi-billion dollar organization. I do find you all kind of amusing, though.)

To answer your question, approximately 25% of the US economy is comprised of import and export. (Boeing's our biggest exporter.) But, the large majority of this trade is with the countries that are most likely to be best prepared for Y2K (at least compared to the developing world): Canada, the European nations, and Japan. It is not necessarily consequential for our economy if the Ukraine goes belly up. (Now, if as Ken predicts, nukes are launched against us, that's a different story...)
