Well, it appears that dickheads like Rush Limbaugh and his ditto-head conservative friends
What a mature, responsible way to talk about people. Shucks, I surely do have a lot of confidence in the rest of a message that starts this way.
Of course, Limbaugh's "ditto-head conservative friends" include a significant number of very reputable scientists who have shown that the evidence for the theory of global warming is tenuous at best. After all, the globe has been considerably warmer in the past than it is now (gee, wonder whether the dinosaurs were driving around gas guzzling cars in those days?) Global temperatures have always fluctuated, we are at this time progressing naturally from a cooler to a warmer era, and to think that we can pinpoint a single cause for those fluctuations and show that it is responsible is far beyond our present scientific knowledge.
It's interesting how when a scientific theory fits the liberal press's prejudices it becomes fact very quickly, but when it doesn't fit the liberal press's prejudices, it is attacked forever as an unproved theory promulgated only by dickhead conservative scientists who obviously, being conservative, are totally dishonest and cannot be trusted even to add three and three. (A prime example of this is the evidence of a link between race and IQ).
Take, for example, the purported link between breast implants and various diseases. It was trumpeted by the press as clearly proven, and led to the bankruptcy of at least one company, but has now been clearly shown to be nonexistent and based on possibly deliberate misreadings of limited and invalid "scientific" proofs. (But was THAT proof trumpeted in the press?? Not on your tintype.)
Anybody today who pretends that science is non-political is blowing smoke. "Global warming" included. |
