Before we sink to the level of the Yahoo threads here I would like to point out my credentials

Batchelor degree in Computer Engineering
Designed Hardware for 200 MIPS RISC system back in the early 90s including impedance matched memory circuits
Worked for Phoenix Technologies for 4 Years on Motherboard BIOS

So I know a bit about the technology and the industry.

It is my honest belief that an impedance matched, transmission line approach to memory system design is the *only* way to get significant performance gains. I say *only* because there is fundamental physics involved. Rambus is the only solution available today which works this way.
