On market timing:
There are two stocks out there I am timing, both due to Lawsuits. Microsoft and Gemstar. If they settle their suits favorably at, say , 1Pm on a Wednesday, I would buy a chunk at 1:02 PM. I think both would run, particularly softy.

They all reflect an altruistic viewpoint. I hate Altruism, and consider it the major scourge of the 20th century. Altruism, (the sacrifice of the individual for the good of the group), caused Dachau, Buchenwald, the killing fields of Cambodia, and the slave pens of Eastern Europe and Asia. Hitler stood on the podium in 1934 and screamed, "Du bist nicht, die Völker sind alles! " and the Germans loved him.
I totally understand the guy who says," My favorite Charity is me!" He has made it on his own, paid his taxes, watch the Government waste Billions in an attempt to end poverty, and is sick of seeing the panhandlers on the Freeway off ramps.
I give money to people I know who are in trouble, when I think a temporary fix will help. I do it with the idea that I will never get it back. The people who get the money also have to listen to my advice, if I think they need advice. I do not expect them to be grateful. I always remember the saying: why do you hate me? I never helped you!
