Ref- <CEO Jerry Sanders was asked a point blank question: " Are you still using Intel's proprietary ICE code?". Mr. Sanders answered: " No, we are no longer the ICE code!"

One month later to the analysts he admitted that AMD was still using the ICE code. >

AMD management has a consistent history of stretching the truth. Over optimism is not the only problem ! Is it is a habit of using the biggest lie you think you can get away with ? Or does the Beverly Hills based management have any idea of what is happening in the company ? You would think that after all the shareholder lawsuits they would have learned. But apparently the cost of shareholder lawsuits is considered a normal cost of doing business.

AMD shareholders are taken in by the warmth, charm and the simplistic optimistic tone of AMD pronouncements.

Intel management style is cold, dull and boring. Their projections are inevitably cautious and careful. And they dont share all the information they have. But are they professional ! Dont they deliver pretty well on their promises ! They warn of problems before anyone else in the business. And most important, they have done well for their shareholders.

I do not expect AMD to change, until the management is overhauled. Given the present rate of losses, a change may not too far away.
