RBlatch; what makes taking profits here easier; is the fact that there are still -

... so many laggards here. If I miss a ''pop'' in the stocks I sell - I have a list of 10-12 stocks I've been following here; that I can rotate into...

Now if the list of ''rotation'' ideas/laggards starts to disappear; then taking profits becomes a little harder to do...

My ''gut instinct'' was strong here; and given the reality of rig counts, dayrates, new orders and the technical probability of profit taking in crude futures - this seemed to be the ''prudent thing to do'' for a trader... this new slew of negatively ''spun news'' is also another sign of changing ''Street'' sentiment - and sentiment is the nearterm driver.... the fundamentals are still just too far out on the horizon imho...

... and I agree; what news is there than can take crude to say $22 nearterm ??? now the spin is even that OPEC compliance has peaked ! - go figure.... when the Masters of the Street- start weaving their news ''spin doctoring'' - move aside.... and they are definitely in the ''spin'' mode imho...

Gary; I think FLC calls will potentially be the ''McGwireian'' Home Run of the Sector - if we really see a shakeout here... I'd love to buy some cheap $7 1/2 & $10 calls if FLC breaks $8ish and when some Aprl/May options role out...
