It doesn't leave gnet really anywhere... at this moment Lycos is the more valuable property but, it has no momentum. But what is Allen's role in this lycos investment I still would like to know. Any venture fund in this climate under $100mm is nothing and Allen is only one of a bunch of big name investors... my guess is he has less than 10mm in that fund, as opposed to gnet which got 300mm and a board presence.

The whole concept of gnet is better than these no content portals... the PRs have it right, "a network of valuable sites"... thats the way to go, mm has shown us that empty portals can't hold the eyeballs, hopefully the Vulcan gods agree.....
