The info about Total Control is way off in that article, although the rest of it was interesting.

Finally, net managers will want to pay careful attention to price, especially since RAS prices vary so widely. At the low end of the cost curve is Ascend's Max TNT, which comes in at $520 per modem. U.S. Robotics' Total Control Enterprise Network Hub tops the charts at $3,120 per modem.

The price per port of the USR Total Control Hub is about $625/port not $3,120. Big difference!
