Dear Cliff: If you did poorly in Y2K stocks I suspect you entered them last year. I think the real money was made the year before by most people. I still own one that I feel down the road will do very well. But, in my opinion it never was a real Y2K stock although it was classified as such. The company is SYNTEL (SYNT). CEO and his wife own about 85% of the company and they never sold a SINGLE share during the runup. That impressed me. Its down now quite a bit, although it has recovered a little lately, I personally think there is very little downside risk from current prices. Good management, very strong finances and conservatively run. JDN
