Speaking of business and why you should know just who you're in business with, here's a little bit on Ralph Ulm, one time IR and salesman for Les and Medinah Mining.
August 26, 1997:
"I was talking to the IR at RangeStar, Ralph Ulm...Ralph also stated that the WunderFilm deal should be consumated within the next 30 days and he recommends accumulation at these levels"
There was a small price pop, followed by quick fall to a multi-year low.
The next batch are all directly from Ralph regarding a hyped-up deal to buy another company, Wunderfilm.
September 9, 1997
"Once again, I EXPECT THE DEAL TO BE CONSUMMATED WITHIN A FEW DAYS, IF NOT MERE HOURS."
September 15, 1997
"The deal is close to being a reality, by the end of the week "
September 22, 1997
"In any event, expect this to be wrapped up by week's end and THEN the excitement will begin. "
September 26, 1997
"I firmly believe marriage to be announced by 29.09.97, at the latest."
September 30, 1997
"Now for the Laymanese ---- this deal WILL be fully completed by the end of the week, with the only variable needing to be determined being the purchase price."
Eventually some sort of deal did get signed, but it wasn't quite what it was hyped to be. From an irate shareholder on December 6, 1997
"Ralph !!!!! Were there HELL are you , no comments on the major price decline of RTL ,You told told everyone this thing is going to fly.Now I here you are promoting MDIN told eveyone last week to buy now at .35 now trading at .22 and lots of sellers, another winner Ralph."
Followed by Ralph's response on Dec 8, 1997 about the deal which apparently didn't turn out so good...
"The deal with Wunderfilm still remains the same; my error is in trusting people to follow through on signed contracts and for that particular group to fulill their contractual obligations."
...and...
"I will always continue to work with RTL until we see a major turnaround...RTL will recover in January and I will continue to work on it."
...but his next post...
"I currently do not have any official capacity with RTL other than provided my clients with updates on the Company's weekly operations."
...at which time he was introduced onto the Medinah thread as IR for Medinah.
